Stress and weight gain

When you are stressed your metabolism slows down and your body is likely to produce higher levels of cortisol, a stress hormone that tends to make us crave sweet and salty food. when you are trying to deal with uncomfortable emotions you will probably find your self using food as a reward when you nare happy,then craving unhealthy snacks and sweets when stressed. Insead of snacking on unhealthy foods it would be better to eat something of low calorie content like an apple or other fresh fruit and  ten to twelve roasted almonds.This would give you a good balance of calories,protien, healthy fats,and fibre to keep you going.
